The Bamboo Camera
This is a project made in Tinkercad, which depicts a cylindrical polaroid camera, reminiscent of bamboo. I was inspired to do this by something that Karim Rashid said in his segment within the Objectified Documentary, on how all cameras are based off of the size, shape and viewing ratio of the original silver film camera. I finally chose this design for a camera, as it has many uses that we otherwise cannot take advantage of in a regular, rectangular camera. Its round design allows for a lot of adjustability in the sense that you can rotate it as much as you'd like and the camera ratio will never change, allowing for more stability. It also allows for the cylinder itself to become its own adjustment dials. there are protrusions coming out of three dials which rotate the top of the camera to adjust the camera's aperture, shutter speed and focus, for a more controlled diverse photo set. when ready, just point the camera and click the button, and a circular polaroid will be dispensed with your photo. Overall, there were some struggles when making this relating to rotating objects, but in general it made everything I do more thought out and planned, which made for a satisfying final result.
(I couldn't figure out how to move the images)
