Delving into a Cardboard World
In my research in an attempt to find an inspiration for an idea, I came across the work of Andrew Chard. His work captivated me from the very beginning. The vectored-out wooden shapes being stacked upon each other to create a landscape piqued my interest. After coming up with a vague sense of what I wanted to do, I realized that normal paper was not going to cut it. i needed something thicker. It was at this point that I had approached Dr. Ball to ask for a suggestion, and what I got was something incredible. Corrugated Cardboard. It's thick enough to reduce the paper consumption while being thin enough carry detail within the landscape. It was perfect. Only now I had to come up with an idea on how to use it...
